Solutions for Children, Families & Communities
Through a collaboration with Catapult Learning, we offer youth an opportunity to improve the skills they need for employment and/or higher education. Our Youth One Stop, Employment and Training program, funded by the City of Cleveland/Cuyahoga County Department of Workforce Development through the Workforce Investment Act, provides structured and comprehensive employment training for young adults. Eligible participants receive customer service training and employability workshops and have the opportunity to receive individualized academic instruction and the chance to test for and earn their National Professional Customer Service Certification from the National Retail Federation. Youth One Stop staff members help the participants build their professional portfolios, find interview opportunities and land a lasting job. The program also eliminates the transportation barrier by providing bus passes or gas cards to the youth throughout the four week training program. Additionally, we partner with local employers to help participants find jobs, retain and advance their positions and launch a long-term career. To maximize placement success, we provide job retention assistance and coaching for both participants and employers.
